5/21/2023 0 Comments Biotel heart monityI am extremely frustrated with the lack of follow up,explanation and their refusal to talk to my insurance. Now, I got a bill from a collection agency *** ******** hired by Cardionet. The **** rep,placed me on hold,made a 3 way call to cardio net and they agreed to solve the matter. On I got a third statement,I first contacted **** and they said Cardionet had not billed my secondary insurance. On I got a second bill for the same,I again called them and they said it may take a little longer for them to rebill. I spoke to Stephanie at Cardionet and she said she will do the same. I called them after speaking to my insurance **** ** ** ,that they need to first bill my insurance,and then bill my secondary insurance which is my wife’s policy.That’s what **** representative suggested. In December 2021,I had an event monitor ordered by my cardiologist in Michigan.Biotel was the service provider.In 3/2022 I received a bill from Cardionet for 279.84. They are ignoring my calls and emails and my mother’s life is at risk because she doesn’t have her system, she is on a fixed income and can’t afford the monthly fee for a new one and the insurance company won’t replace it. This is the tracking number ******************.They mailed a device that didn't belong to my Mother, I inform the company that it was the wrong device. My Mom ives in a secured building so *** couldn't have left it at her front door. In order for Life Alert to reissue her a new system what she sent to this company needs to be returned.On I, attempted to return a call to ****** and I was transferred to the collections department by ******.****** left me a voicemail yesterday stating that my Moms life alert was being delivered at 10:30 am, it was not delivered. Greetings, On I contacted ******** Bio Tel to inform them that my Mother *************************** mistakenly sent her Life Alert necklace, wristband and charger when she returned her heart monitor (**********) on. Coming here is literary my last resource. If this happens my family and I will be completely displaced. 1st, 2022 and ruin my credit while am in the process to purchase a home. I am still waiting but I am at the point of feeling the threat of by this bill to go out on collections in Nov. because on their end it shows I should NOT have received any bill at all, not $9,000 and not $936. Called back from a different number and was told the Office manager (Susan) was going to reach out to their BioTel rep. office asking who dropped the ball and was left on hold for 25min. I called again and asked for the bill to be reviewed because I should not have been give a device at such high cost "just to see" when there are so many other method and BioTel said the amount was high because it was a "newer type" of device. No explanation of services just the billing amounts. I was mailed an explanation that literary said the same thing as the bill. I called again and asked if I could get a detailed explanation of the bill. Fast forward and in September 19th 2022 I received a bill for $9,000, Insurance Payment $0, and Total Adjustment of $8,064, and billing me for $936.00!! I called Biotel and asked on and was told to pay a portion before I was sent to collections. I wore it for maybe 3 days, send it back via mail. Let me be clear, I do not have heart issues, never had heart issues and foremost currently do not have heart issue. The office staff speedily placed it on my chest, I was told to wear it for about 3-5 days and my insurance has been checked and that it was covered at 100%. I would this that would the norm before taking this approach but I've never been to a cardiologist before. I wasn't offered an EQG or any other tests during my visit. On my first and only visit to a cardiologist I was slapped with a heart monitor and to "just to see" if I had a covid booster shot heart related side effects and had developed a heart conditions.
